Joe Lusk Racing hasn’t had an update in a while, and here is why. At Clinton County Motor Speedway on June 17th, Joe and team had motor trouble. After moving from 12th to 6th position, the engine quit heading down the front stretch. Over the following week it was discovered that a valve had dropped into one of the pistons on the engine. Over the week of the 27th to the 3rd, Joe was in Georgia competing in the Future Business Leaders of America for the national network design title. Joe and his FBLA team finished second in the nation, and he returned to immediately begin working on the car to prepare the car for the race on July 8th. The motor was returned to the garage on July 5th and was installed in the car the same night. After spending 3 late nights in the garage testing the oil and water system, plus preparing tires, the team found out the race on Friday was cancelled due to rain.
Joe and team will be back in action this Friday, July 15th at Clinton County Motor Speedway.
